Volumetric weight calculator
Enter the dimensions and weight of your cargo. We show you the gross weight, the volumetric weight and the chargeable weight (the greater of the two) using the standard air factor.
Shipment details
Standard air cargo factor: 6,000 cm³/kg (≈167 kg/m³). Some couriers use 5,000. Confirm the factor with your airline or freight forwarder.

This calculation is indicative only. The volumetric factor and rounding rules can vary by airline and by the commercial agreement you have with your freight forwarder.
How it works
Volumetric weight turns volume into kilos: (Length × Width × Height in cm) ÷ factor. Chargeable weight is the greater of the gross weight and the volumetric weight — that is what the airline bills you for.
